Catechesis is concerned with the community, but it does not neglect the individual believer. it is inked with the other pastoral functions of the Church, but it does not lose its own specific character. Al one and the same time it performs the functions of initiation, education, and formation. it is very important that catechesis retain the richness of these various aspects in such a way that one aspect is not separated from the rest to the detriment of the others.
